About Me

I spent about a decade working in the software industry in Austin, before pursuing a more fulfilling career helping people as a therapist. It was one of the best decisions of my life, and I’ve never once regretted it. I’m a husband and a dad, a neurodivergent maker type who’s never afraid to try my hand at a new kind of creative endeavor. My family and I moved from Austin, Texas to north Georgia in 2021, seeking four seasons and access to the mountains. I love foraging, playing (sometimes making) musical instruments, and hearing about the things others are passionate about. I’m politically left, an outspoken ally to marginalized communities, and I dance like I hope nobody is watching for their own sake.

My therapeutic style is a mixture of warmth, curiosity, and dad jokes framed in a thin candy shell of relational neuroscience. While I operate from the assumption that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing, I think it’s important to bring a balance of levity and space to the process when exploring tough topics. Personally, I’ve found that this helps the work get deeper, and effect more meaningful change. While I prize my ability to think critically and be insightful, I’m not afraid to get a little woo if that’s the way your process wants to unfold.

I’m LGBTQIA+ friendly, ENM and kink-aware, and spiritually inquisitive in a way that welcomes all perspectives. As a neurodivergent adult who has started my own journey of understanding relatively recently, I have a soft spot for anyone else trying to better understand themselves and how they fit - or seem not to- in the world.
